CARE HOME
The Kennersley Park Care Home is a 24-hour care facility for Residents aged 60 and over and has capacity for the following types of care:
- 14 x semi-assisted living
- 39 x assisted living rooms
- 25 x semi-frail care
- 30 x frail care
- 22 x memory care
Although Kennersley Park is not registered as an Eden Alternative ® care home, we do follow the Eden Alternative ® principles which focuses on moving away from the institutional hierarchical (medical) model of care into a constructive culture of “home” where Elders direct their own lives. The Eden Alternative ® philosophy is focused on the care of the human spirit as well as the care of the human body and seeks to address loneliness, helplessness and boredom, as well as bring well-being to life.
The monthly Care Home fee covers 24-hour care assistance, which includes assisting with personal hygiene activities, making of doctor’s appointments etc., medication management, all meals, laundry and housekeeping.
The Care Home offers a library, in-house gym, hairdresser amenities as well as a recreational centre, a hall and chapel services. Weekly shopping trips are available as well as transport for private medical appointments. Various recreational activities and events are scheduled daily.
